Providing Airconditioning and Electrical Services to the Pilbara

Staykool Airconditioning and Electrical Services (SKE) is without doubt one of the most established small businesses in Hedland. Our history spans back over 40 years when Darryl and Jan Brown started SKE as an electrical company in 1980 from an office in South Hedland. Over time the company expanded into air conditioning and ventilation services moving to our current premises in Hardie St, Port Hedland, which was previously the Ice Works and Cool Drink factory.

In October 2019 Darryl sold the business to brothers Marcell & Donovan Lotriet, both of whom completed their electrical and refrigeration apprenticeships at SKE. Marcell and Donovan are well known within the Hedland community and have forged a strong reputation for their expertise in electrical and air conditioning work.

Looking to expand our service offering and customer base, in 2020 we made a strategic decision to develop sufficient resources and knowledge to service the commercial and resources sector. This has seen SKE invest heavily into training and development as well being able to attract the right people to our organisation. Our ongoing development of our systems and procedures as well as our commitment to health and safety has made us an attractive option to many of the Port Hedland Businesses.

Quintessentially we are a local family-owned small business, employing locally and supporting other local small businesses but with the capabilities and resources to offer a range of skills and services to match larger companies.
